  • We would like to advise customers that due to spring tidal conditions, the 16:00 departure from Kirkwall to Eday, Sanday & Stronsay on Monday has been brought forward by one hour and will now sail as follows:

    • Depart Kirkwall – 15:00
    • Arrive Eday – 16:15
    • Depart Eday – 16:30
    • Arrive Sanday – 16:50
    • Depart Sanday – 17:00
    • Arrive Stronsay – 17:35
    • Depart Stronsay – 17:45
    • Arrive Kirkwall – 19:30

  • We would like to advise customers that the Nordic Sea will put on additional sailings on weekends to Eday, Sanday and Stronsay.

    The timetable is as follows:

    Arrive Stronsay: 17:10

    Arrive Sanday: 17:40

    Depart Sanday: 17:45

    This service will continue until Friday 14th March, following which, the Nordic Sea will leave for Refit.

  • We would like to advise our Outer North Isles customers that the refit period timetable will be extended by three weeks.

    This is due to the Earl Sigurd port engine failure and delay in return from dry dock.

  • We would like to remind our North Isles customers, our refit period will commence on Sunday 5th January through to Saturday 29th March.

    MV Nordic Sea will be offering an additional service for foot passengers between Kirkwall, Sanday, Stronsay and Eday. This service will run from Monday to Friday, commencing on Monday the 6th of January and terminating on Friday the 7th of March.

    Passengers wishing to use this service will need to book and make payment in advance of travel, booking is available via our website www.orkneyferries.co.uk or by calling our offices during opening hours on 01856 872044.
